Also from Matthew 5:8 Blessed arethe pure in heart for they will see God. We have to be clean in our actions and thoughts”

Members and 3 new comers invited by the members shared their gratitudes after the Bible study. The church planned to hold the Bible study with the new people 2 times a week on Tuesday and Friday in the morning. May God bless the effort for evangelizm and guide people to His way through it.

She was using many stories to explain the blessed life in God.”When we look at the rainbow, how is it? It is very beautiful with many colors. Like that, these 8 Beatitudes have different images, but when we have this heart, our lives will be so beautiful.”

There were around 50 teens and children there. They were listening to the stories carefully every time. And at the last time, some teens shared their reflections.

May God raise them with the heart of Jesus, beautiful before God, so they can live as the light of the world.

Gratia church in Nairobi was so privileged to have Bible fellowship with students from Bridge International Academy On 2nd March 2018. The sharing was from Judges 13:1-25, “the birth of Solomon”. Pr Fredrick shared about this story of Samson and the Philistines, from the time of Samson until the time of David, the Philistines were the great enemy to Israel because they were fierce warriors and they were much in numbers than Israel and infighting skills, they were advanced. He referred to 1 Samuel 13:19-22, that they knew the secret to make weapons out of irons. Though God still chose Samson to deliver Israel.
During the study, there was one question that one of the students asked, ” why did the angel hide his name to Manoah”? He answered that Maybe in those days people believed that if they knew the name of the person, they could know his characters and maybe they could control him. By not giving his name, the angel of God was trying to make sure Manoah could not control him. He concluded that “the angel said his name was too wonderful and beyond understanding”. “Sometimes we asked God questions, but we don’t receive the answer, this does not mean that God is saying NO, but we ask God his knowledge, which is beyond our understanding and acceptance”. He concluded

These fellowships are helpful because all the schools that they are trying to conduct this fellowship with, have testimonies to give. “we are so thankful for the program since we started, our pupils are really trying to be obedient to God and showing a high level of discipline”.

As regular church program, Nairobi Gratia Church visited Schools on Friday, Feb 2nd. Sifa Academy and Bridge Academy and Mary Faith school are the schools.

Pastor Fredrick shared “Teachers of Sifa Academy appreciated for the teaching of the Bible. Headteacher Sarah wanted to guide the class 8 children who will soon apply for their higher schools.” So they decided to meet again as teachers and students and Gratia church pastor on Saturday, Feb 3rd. And next time, they will invite the parents of the students as well to guide the children to the better way.

“It can be a good program because if we can meet the parents then they will feel comfortable for sending their children to Gratia church”

“If students, teachers, parents can be united with the same hearts, they can even change the society. Now some teachers and students are willing to come to our church”

“The time will come, we do not need to hurry too much,” Fredrick said.

They believe the word of God which is sown well in the heart of the young generation will bear fruit later.

Apostolos Missions in Kenya held a graceful youth retreat and seminar this weekend at Nairobi Gratia Church. AM Kenya leader, Kefa reported that about 40 people joined for 2 lectures during the day and many others were gathered during mass evangelism on the street.

AM Kenya held their first large event with the theme “Seek First His Kingdom.” Many young people gathered for a full morning and afternoon of messages. Afterwards, the evening was dedicated to “open air” which is an outdoor service to evangelize people on the street. The event was very lively. Many of the AM staff sang songs, danced, and shared testimonies outside for all who could hear.

Many of the students presented came from Kinyanjui Polytechnic Institute. These students also invited students from other schools where AM can also be planted. AM staff registered several members during the retreat. The chapter now has 39 members.

Pastor Jane shared “Students are very active in mission, and worship music, prayer. So today I found great hope in this ministry.”

AM Kenya leader, Kefa, is praying and preparing for another event in November visiting an orphanage. May God continue to bless AM and Kenya mission.

Nairobi Gratia church leaders has been visiting 3 schools on Fridays for their Bible classes called PPI(Pastoral Program Instructions) in June. Through the time, the school can provide the children spiritual foundation and teachings the right way to the students. As Kenya is a Christian country, there is religion subject in their curriculum. CRE(Christian religious Education) is what majority of the schools take rather than IRE(Islamic Religious Education) as their religious education. Beside of this subject, schools are having their Christianity activities like chapel or Bible club, VBS, PPI etc.

So through this serving the schools, some schools are showing good feedbacks to the leaders.

Pastor Fredrick shared “Today when I talked with the head teacher, she shared how the children changed their behavior. They are respecting teachers more than before, the lying to the teacher has been reduced, they don’t keep the school fees which they received from their parents.” on June 2nd. So the teacher wanted to visit the church on available Sunday.

Pastor Fredrick shared “I taught them in their level how they are, who they are. As they have sinful behavior, I point it out in their understanding level, so that the students can realize themselves. And after that, they can know the value of salvation deeply”

Gratia church is planning to do Bible study continually at the church for the teenagers who come through football team and PPI.

May God guide the teens to God through this Bible sharing of Gratia church in June greatly!

Seeking to make progress in US mission in the weeks before Pentecost, churches will be pushing in to share the gospel across the nation while co-working within their regions and Olivet Assembly leadership.
“While our mission, vision and goals and strategies to expand the mission in the United States and Canada are not necessarily new, the main challenge for the mission is to take concrete steps and action plans in the weeks ahead to match God’s desire for revival across the nation, especially as Pentecost approaches,” said an OA USA representative.
Churches are setting their evangelism and program goals to guide believers toward greater commitment to Jesus Christ as church members and gaining a strong desire for living for God’s Kingdom. Olivet Assembly USA is also preparing for the June 5 Olivet Leadership Institute Summer Session that aims to train new Christian leaders that will be active across churches and ministries that are a part of the Assembly.
Prayerful and diligent implementation of church growth strategies will be key across many church activities including ongling bible studies, outreach programs, establishment of fellowships and ministries. Communication between churches, regions and the denominational headquarters will be important in seeking a unified, yet diverse approach toward the mission.
“By trusting in God’s providence that has given us all we need to make progress, we aim to go with diligence and fervor to make our Pentecost gatherings a time that marks a point of great victory for the Lord in sharing the gospel and dream for God’s Kingdom to many people,” said the OA representative.
OA USA urges prayers for advancement of the US mission.
